Fitness & Yoga Class Descriptions

Yoga and fitness classes for age 16 & up are organized differently than monthly dance lessons.  Classes are held for a set number of classes within a session.  The $25 registration fee does not apply, and tuition discounts are not available.

Class Descriptions:

BARRE Fitness

This total body conditioning program blends classical ballet exercises with Pilates, yoga, and strength movements.  Burn fat and increase lean muscle with this low-impact form of exercise.  We will use the ballet barre as well as center work to perform a variety of exercises to target multiple muscles.   
Bring a mat to class, and 2-3 lb dumbbells if you have them. 

BARRE + Cardio Blast! -

BARRE Fitness blended with cardio and strength intervals for an intense total body workout.  Bring a mat to class, and 2-3 lb dumbbells if you have them. 


Fitness Boot Camp

Get motivated! Join Boot Camp to achieve your fitness goals. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome. Modifications and challenges will be given for various fitness levels. You WILL get a workout to achieve your goals! Cardiovascular and strength work will be incorporated in a variety of workouts.  Bring a mat to class



Sculpt & Burn Yoga

Burn fat, increase strength, & gain flexibility with this intense yet easy to follow class! Interval training is the best way to increase endurance and the variety will keep you coming back for more! Each class will be different to challenge both mind and body.  This class is designed for ALL fitness levels.  Yoga experience is not necessary.  Bring tennis shoes for indoor use, a yoga mat and 2-3 lb dumbbells to class.

 

Fitness Yoga 
An active class with an emphasis on proper form and alignment.  This class will provide a great workout consisting of flowing yoga postures, deep stretches and balance work.  Designed for all levels, with modifications and challenges given.  Bring a yoga mat to class.


 

Hip Hop Fitness - NEW for Fall 2014!
Get a great workout while jamming to upbeat music in this fun class for all levels!  Increase cardiovascular fitness with continuous movement and learn fun combinations.  Strength and core work will be incorporated.  Wear tennis shoes for indoor use only and bring a mat to class.


 Zumba Fitness!

Join the party! Latin-inspired, easy to follow fitness and dance class.  Zumba incorporates slow and fast paced moves set to fun music to make up a high energy workout. Wear tennis shoes for indoor use only.
